Spider alien, very cool. Very kinky.
Spider alien politics, drawn out.
It was good, the whole concept and world building was interesting but I wasn’t exactly reading this for the intriguing Sci-Fi world, I was reading it for the romance. So the politics and world building felt a little excessive if you’re not prepared for it, and I felt myself slightly tempted to skim some parts just to get back to Ketahn and Ivy. But I didn’t, and it wasn’t that bad. I’ll more than likely be reading the rest of the books in the series, so that should tell you it was less of a detriment and more of a positive.
