Leia: Princess of Alderaan by Claudia Gray
4.0

The first Star Wars novel I've read! What a great time. If I read this book a couple of years ago, it wouldn't have been as enjoyable because I wasn't as invested in this franchise back then as I am now. All the little references, 'easter eggs', call backs to parts of the series was so enjoyable - made more so by the fact that I could pick them without having to Google to make sure I knew I was right. I loved Leia before but now I think I love her a little bit more.

It was a good plot, light, and a little predictable at some points but then that's what Star Wars is - how many Death Star sequences have we had? And yet we still enjoy it. Claudia Gray portrays Leia perfectly: the inner monologue and thoughts seemed so accurate to her character, it is a wonderful thing Claudia Gray has done.
