One True Loves by Taylor Jenkins Reid

fast-paced

3.25

TJR is usually a hit (Evelyn Hugo, Daisy Jones) or a miss (Malibu Rising) for me. This time, I wasn’t crazy impressed, but I still liked this one.

Writing was simplistic but also very readable. Thought there could have been deeper character development, but the plot is certainly intriguing and I felt it accomplished its goal: delivering on a premise that could be difficult to pull off, as well as being an engaging page-turner — a perfect spring break read.
