This was super angsty but considering both their backgrounds it made sense and fit with the story. Elizabeth's tragic back-story was really sad and unfortunately something that is far to common, she was trying to struggle though but it was still impacting her, I liked that Declan gave her the space she needed to deal. It did annoy me that she seemed to need a man to help her pull her life back together though.

I didn't fully believe in them as characters either, Declan seemed too perceptive, he seemed to know exactly what Elizabeth was thinking right from the start. Elizabeth just felt a bit like a stereotype. Their connection happens really quickly as well, it was pretty much instalove and she completely opens up to him quickly, which didn't really fit in with how she was acting otherwise.
