The Silver Chair
by C.S. Lewis
I remember this book being my least favorite of the entire series as a kid. Now, I’m not so sure.
Though the beginning still feels a bit slow, the story itself keeps your attention once you get into it, and Jill, happens to be a rather strong, and realistic female character. As far as older books go, I would say that Lewis is surprisingly gifted at writing strong, realistic women. The Pevensie sisters will always be the favorites, but Jill holds her own well along side Puddleglum, an adorably Eeyore esc Marshwiggle.
If you read this one as a kid and were unsure about it, it’s worth a second go :)
