Charnel House by Graham Masterton

dark mysterious fast-paced

3.0

Some vintage horror ages well; this one didn’t for me. There is bigotry and sexism throughout. It could be said that it’s a product of its time, but there isn’t enough character or plot development to make it worth excusing. The beginning was strong and I was excited to learn more about the house and demon within, but it quickly went to other places and became more exaggerated. There’s some fun to be had here, but it’s not a favorite.
