Picked this up on a whim from the library since one of my goals this year was to read a collection. The title story was eerie, but the first story really put me off the whole book. I wish it had been even the 2nd or 3rd story, just to give us a chance to get used to the writer's style before diving into the grotesque. Almost dnf'd the rest of the book after reading it.
