A Storm of Swords by George R.R. Martin

5.0

Ladies and gentlemen, this book had me in a CHOKEHOLD!

I might never recover from this one.

I read this book every single chance I got, and when I wasn't reading it, I was thinking about reading it.

The people wanted more drama, and George R.R. Martin DELIVERED!

I've never read a series where each book is better than the previous one. The families are so messy, and I am LIVING FOR IT. In this story, I feel like we really get a deep dive into what each character is like and the reasons for the things that they do or have done.

I honestly thought GRRM couldn't surprise and shock me any more than he already has, but let me tell you, I was wrong! I WAS SO VERY, VERY WRONG!

I will tell you right now that if you are looking to see more Theon Greyjoy or Ramsey Bolton in this book, you will be disappointed. Only in that aspect, though, because this book is phenomenal with a capital P.

The pettiness has been upped a notch in this one, my friends. It is messy, petty, sloppy, and dramatic all at once.

Two thumbs up is not enough for this story. GRRM gave us pure perfection on the pages.
