Cribsheet: A Data-Driven Guide to Better, More Relaxed Parenting, from Birth to Preschool by Emily Oster

I thought Cribsheet talked a lot less about competing priorities that you might have than the family firm did. I really think the discussion about circumcision was not as deep as it could have been. Like I think omitting that some children might feel resentment about being non-consensually mutilated should be considered (and less intensely that uncut penises are more sexually desirable in some circles, not sure this is true for circumcized penises in any circles).
Also I thought the discussion on discipline was pretty terrible, like it doesn't feel like she was aware of goals for discipline other than to stop immediate misbehavior.
On the breastfeeding subject, for personal reasons I wish more had been discussed about whether donor milk or breastfeeding from not the natal mother is an acceptable substitute, but I feel like that was mostly unconsidered.
