Absolutely loved this! Really good twists throughout and at the end that I didn’t see coming. 

My takeaways
couldn’t help but think how similar the Asteri are to the US government. Milking their citizens for taxes, forcing the citizens to work & stealing their energy and Life force, and using it for their own gain to colonize and drain other countries for resources.
