I don't know why I love these books so much, Sirantha is a kind of awful person and is often depressed or self-recriminating. But I do. The relationships are so interesting and complicated and the fact that the characters really deal with loss and pain in realistic ways is really fantastic. This book is quite aptly titled and I enjoyed it even more than the frantic-ness of Killbox. There was a big plot line that I felt was unnecessary so 4 stars instead of 5, but overall, I really liked the Vel plot stuff. There was so much Vel. It was wonderful. Learning about his past and the ways of his heart was very enjoyable. He's my favorite character. I also liked that Sirantha finally got to do some good, on purpose (not by mistake).
