I listened to the audiobook and AHHHHHHHH!!!! It was incredible! I would highly recommend listening to the audiobook while reading this or even instead of reading the physical copy.
This story is honestly so heartbreaking, but it really gives people like me, who hardly know anything about Latin America and Latin American culture and the beauty and horror of some peoples lives.
The sister bond in this is so realistic that it's beautiful, and the whole dynamic between these two families was so beautiful.
Elizabeth Acevedo is probably one of my favourite authors now.
