This book is very much a mixed bag for me. It's got a noir detective thing going on with its bounty hunter plot line, which is a type of story I generally enjoy, and I had fun with it. However, it is very much a product of its time, and I found its depiction of female characters to be pretty awful. It's also kind of corny in some places, and that made it hard to take seriously. I think I would really enjoy this plot in a more modern package with more up-to-date sensibilities but as it stands it was just OK.
