This book was a fascinating, deeply emotionally moving and thought provoking masterpiece.

It does also hit somewhat close to the heart for me because I do have a mentally disabled brother with developmental delay and autism. Which obviously is not quite the same with our protagonist here but it does make it at least a little relatable. Completely aside from all the masterfully crafted reflections about life, people and relationships that this book provides anyway.

I don't know, maybe I should read more Classics. I'm always kind of afraid that I wouldn't click with the writing but that was not an issue here at all. It just kinda reads like a modern book. I am really glad I picked this up.
