Oof. This book was really well done, especially in Nesta's character development and truly charting the depths of her pain and it's consequences. Nesta has never been a character I liked, and this book made me fall in love with her. It also made me desperately want to begin training to be a Valkyrie! I loved that again, Maas didn't shy away from the brutality of trauma's effects, even as they manifested so differently for Nesta than they did Feyre or Elaine. And I loved Nesta's journey to heal her own broken heart, find strength in and love for herself, and learn how to share that love and strength with others. I'm excited to read more about all of these characters I love so dearly!
