Alice finds herself the new companion of a dragon/wyrm shifter on the faerie plane, but Fenrother is completely clueless about humans and females. He's been alone his whole life, so Alice is tasked with the challenge of getting him up to speed on the birds and the bees while the faerie queen puts an ultimatum over their heads that could destroy their budding connection.
Clueless alpha male armed with ancient books and no one to practice on? Poor Alice! I loved how they went from enemies to reluctant allies to lovers seamlessly. Their connection was genuinely forged from communication and understanding. The storyline was enjoyable, and the world building elements were well-developed. I enjoyed the cast of characters, but Fenrother was my favorite. He just needs a good teacher and some practical lessons. I really loved how he exploded into action once Alice gave consent, but never purposefully mistreated her. This series is off to a great start, and I'd love to jump back into this world one day!
