The Name of the Rose by Umberto Eco
4.0
An incredibly unique book and love letter to the Middle Ages. It's somewhat of a paradox: a pulpy murder mystery set in the ambience of densely erudite medieval Christianity. To a degree, you have to let the more esoteric discussion wash over you, but when you do so it's a brilliant and one-of-a-kind experience.
