Bride of the Winter King by Holly Rose
1.5

The only reason this is over 1 star is because I kept WANTING something to happen. The sense of time was off throughout the book - three days is referred to as "a few weeks," the dressmaker arrived "a few hours" before her client wakes, bathes, and dines. The 21 year old assassin who has carefully trained and researched to appeal to ancient king decides to launch into a solo immediately on being announced at the ball? For three years of planning, she has no plans, is surprised at everything, and is stupid as hell. Makes not one rational decision and whines constantly. There was no connection or chemistry, she is too dumb to understand him. Ugh. Will not continue the series.
