Ugh….As Marian Keyes is one of my favourite authors I was really looking forward to this book, but it ended up being a disappointment. The story drags on far too long and could have been 300 pages shorter. The plot is painfully predictable with unnecessary fluff , making it hard to stay engaged. To make matters worse, some of the old characters in the series that I loved growing up reappeared, but not in a way that felt fresh or meaningful, they just seemed recycled and irritating. If I hadn’t read all their stories prior I would have hated them. While there were brief moments of the signature humor and heart, they were lost.
