Frankissstein by Jeanette Winterson
3.0
Even though it’s a season read, after devouring Christmas Days, I had high hopes that this was going to be good!
The only enjoyable parts are the retelling of Shelley and her writing of Frankenstein.
Switching between that time and modern time with AI and robots, for me it’s a bit of a mish mash.
Winterson has excellent ideas to be explored but either it was too in depth and made me uncomfortable or rapidly kept switching pace and character timelines. I was just confused and really wasn’t keen on Ron Lord and his story...
Hoping Oranges Are Not The Only Fruit is much better!
