Rogue One: A Star Wars Story by Alexander Freed
5.0

‘jyn felt small. she was four years old again, and her mother was so much bigger than her. lyra whispered in her ear, so soft jyn had to strain to hear it: “the strongest stars have hearts of kyber”’

So,

I’ve been thinking how to word this review and I keep on coming up short. Alexander freed writes Star Wars how I wish Star Wars was written, he has such a power with words, he cradles these characters in his hands and treats them with such care and delicacy that with every line my heart breaks. i should have known that this would be a deeply emotional book, but god dammit I didn’t think I’d be holding back tears on the tube during rush hour !!

oh my gosh. I felt this one.

whenever I say ‘oh I’m reading a star wars book’ I always make fun of myself for it, so the person I’m speaking to knows that I know that it’s funny, maybe childish or trash lit and you know maybe it is, but god dammit if I don’t love these characters with every fibre of my being.

once I’m done with my book buying ban you best believe I’m gonna buy every single alexander freed sw book hes ever written. thank you and good night !!!
