A Good Girl's Guide to Murder by Holly Jackson

5.0

This was really good! Worth the hype.

[It’s been a while since I read mystery thrillers and I wonder why I don’t pick them up often, so some 5 star recs would be awesome!!]

The narration was excellently engaging, always pushing me on to the next page making it un-put-downable. Pippa was a cute, lovable character and it was really fun reading her POV. I don’t know what this kind of trope is but this book has just the right amount of romance development for my taste lol.

The plot was fleshed out really well. It was a complex mystery with many players at hand but it was never confusing. The plot was coherent with just the right twists at the right time that kept me hooked throughout the book.

I’m not a true crime podcast listener myself but I heard that the audiobook version was great with different voices for all the characters and was basically narrated like a podcast.

All in all, this is a fast thriller perfect for cozying up and getting lost in the guessing games.
