Goddess of the River was a beautifully written story. Theresa characters were vivid and fabulous. I hated Bhishma but he was also a great character as were many of the more minor ones. The story did drag in places, becoming slightly repetitive in certain sections, hence the dropping of the star however overall I found it to be a very enjoyable retelling.
