Wuthering Heights by Emily Brontë, Anne Brontë

3.0

Maybe I’m crazy but I was lowkey rooting for Heathcliff sometimes (not when he turned crazy abusive and evil - don’t get me wrong there.) maybe from a modern lens I find his anger and resentment towards the family justified based on the way he was treated solely due to his class and appearance. Def deserved to be haunted for life though. Oh, also I think Nelly was a shit stirrer - kinda didn’t like her behavior. Emily Brontë is a queen of imagery and spooky ghosts, though, so shout out to the creepy and gothic setting - I loved the supernatural elements.
