I'm been really flying through these books, I don't know what it is but something about this series is kind of addicting.  I did find that this book did begin to veer off from the original plot of the series but I didn't mind it that much.  The first two books had a strong mystery element to it but this one seems to dive straight into fantasy and leaves the whole FBI agent side of Cass off to the side.  This book provides much more insight into Cass' true heritage and finally there is some romantic development between Cass and Roan.  I kind of hated Gabriel's death in the beginning through because to be honest I still wasn't exactly sure what kind of role he was supposed to play in Cass' life (just a friend, a romantic role, or more of a familial role) and then his life got cut short.  Overall, I would say that I liked it and at this point I have to see the series through to the end.
