It was so good! I laughed, I cried, I enjoyed the journey of this read.

The characters are beautifully developed, the writing is beautiful, but be prepared to cry.

Definitely a trigger warning for abandonment…

Emma is beautifully broken and the way Maddie is her ride or die is so heart warming and gut wrenching at the same time. She knows how to meet Emma where she is with love and empathy without sugarcoating the truth. I love how protective she is of Emma, Emma needed someone like Maddie looking out for her.

And Justin…*sigh* he is the definition of if he wanted to, he would. That’s part of what makes the story such a tear jerker at times. And I love how Emma helps him have more empathy towards his own mother.

Absolutely loved it.
