I really liked this one. I liked the character growth of both of the main characters and the portrayal of grief the most. The grief was so well done. I lost my grandpa in April and everything that Ollie felt was exactly how I felt going through that and it made me almost cry at work.
I also really liked the growth of the two main characters. They learned how selfish they were being in only caring about what they wanted and how they felt rather than considering the other person's feelings and wants. Will learned this and apologized more than Ollie did but Ollie learned it and changed his behavior.
I think the only thing that I didn't like at times was the pacing.
Ollie's "I love you" kind of came out of nowhere.
I didn't think he was even considering that but I did love the second-hand embarrassment that came out of it. And the ending seemed resolved too quickly as well.
I kind of thought they would actually date for a little bit and then Will would come out to his family and friends.
That way they could both actually show that growth that they gained even if it was a little bit.
But despite that I really enjoyed this book and I really can't wait to read Sophie's sapphic books.
