Thank you to the author and Love Books Tours for my copy of this book.
Firstly, I am an absolute sucker for robots, droids, and any other sentient or semi-sentient mechanical beings, and Neem22 is no exception. Within about half a sentence, I loved him. I also really enjoyed his attitude and behaviour towards the prison where he worked - it was an interesting social commentary, which I think sci-fi can be so good at achieving.
Joseph and Kali were both great characters to follow, with very different backgrounds and approaches to life on Europa. I could have very easily followed Joseph for a whole novel, though the punch that this story packed in novella form was phenomenal.
And then the ending. I haven't actually cried at a book in quite a while, but Newer left me sobbing. I didn't see it coming. It was brilliant.
