People Like Her by Ellery Lloyd

4.0

It wasn't great but it wasn't terrible. I like the idea behind it, with social media being relevant these days, maybe it could have been executed better. A big chunk of the book is dedicated to describing the life of an influencer (an instamum, in this case), and it is a good depiction of the cost of internet fame and the slippery slope of letting millions of strangers into your life. Personally, I wouldn't consider this to be a thriller, especially since most of the action doesn't happen til the end, and it isn't for the faint of heart.

Trigger warning(s): miscarriage, abortion, baby loss, suicide.
