The reason why I gave this 4 stars was because romance isn’t my genre. I found the writing cheesy and predictable but I think that’s the general consensus for romance novels. Other than that, I loved this book. The characters felt so real and it being set in our world definitely helps them feel real, the writing got me rooting for August and Jane.
I do want to say that I was gonna be angry if Jane didn’t come back. I thought McQuinston was just gonna have Jane be gone forever. I was about to talk to the manager.
This book really found me in a time where I am confused about life and college, so having August be confused about those topics really made me feel like I’m not alone. I definitely recommend this.
