This was my fourth Ali Hazelwood book and I can now safely say that I love her writing style. The way she creates characters and describes scenes in a way that makes me feel uneducated is fascinating.

The plot of this book was very well thought out, kept me hooked and made me want to just read on. It had different layers to it that made it realistic and just amazing to read.

Eli and Rue are both great characters as they had actually believable traits and personalities that a real person could have. I loved their dynamic as well as their chemistry, which Ali Hazelwood always manages to write unbelievably. My only issue with it was that there were WAY too many spice scenes in there for my taste. Other than that, it was a lovely love story.

Overall, it was a great read to start 2025 off with, that was packed with emotional scenes and deep topics. I would recommend this book to anyone looking for a swoon-worthy romace more on the spicy side, which still has a good plot.
