Loved the writing style. The whole book was a slow burn and I wasn't sure how it was going to end until the very last page. A great coming-of-age story that touches on the difficulties of family--particularly motherhood--and the patterns we find ourselves in as we reach adulthood even as we struggle against them. I was engrossed from the start and appreciated the way the characters shaped and were shaped by the plot. 10/10 recommend.
