3.5 stars, but I'm rounding up for the incredibly amusing visuals conjured up by the descriptions of these dragons in their hats. The first third of this book was slowwwww, the second third worked much better, and then I surprised myself by staying much too late to finish it off. I've never read or seen Austen (sacrilege, I know) as it's not really my cup of tea, as it were, but I definitely see where the comparisons in other reviews are coming from. All in all a better read than I was expecting from the flap summary.
