The story itself was good. Entertaining. Rise and fall of conflict was executed well. The character evolution was gripping in most instances. Book 5 probably my favorite, give. The actual progression in Nesta shown from anger and hatred, to self loathing, to forgiveness, and then to happiness. Essentially the motions of grief, in a way.

The language and reiterations were difficult to not be frustrated with.

The constant use of beheld was too much. When listing two people (or items), and always saying the former or the latter, was also an annoyance.

The change in writing style made it difficult for the flow to stay constant. In, I think, book 4 some POV is in first person but others are in third. Aggravating to say the least.
