jbordjadze 's review for:
The Raven Tower
by Ann Leckie
mysterious
slow-paced
Plot or Character Driven:
Plot
I deeply enjoyed this. It goes alongside the Thief in terms of books doing interesting and subtle things with the point of view, and all of Leckie's other books for interesting breakdown on gender and world building. It's a good example of "inspired by/retelling," and just in general the slow reveal of information kept me guessing as I tried to predict what moves people would make and kept calculating wrong because of something I'd assumed but hadn't been said.
