Big Little Lies
by Liane Moriarty
My first foray into guilty pleasure chick-lit. Possibly not my last. (You have my permission to unfriend me on Goodreads now.)
I liked how plot-driven and engrossing this was. Although, I had to do my best to ignore the way Moriarty seems to expect 0% perceptiveness from her readers. She would drop a nugget of nuance or innuendo and then explain what it meant! It was like witnessing a comedian who explains every punchline. Once I got over that, it was sort of fun to read.
