Civil War: Young Avengers & Runaways by Zeb Wells

3.0

I'm not a fan of the drawing that much; maybe this is how it is drawn with Runaways? Anyway, this is a good team-up since it's been explicitly pointed out how much they have in common. I've read the Civil War storyline and Secret Invasion so this showed me the backstories. They Runaways will eventually help the Young Avengers in NY but not before deciding to immediately escape. They'd see Vision die and now I get the emotional impact of that to them. Then there's Noh-Varr during the Secret Invasion when he just ruled the Cube for whatever reason. Then him in the most recent Young Avengers.
I like how the Runaways is firm in their ideals to not pick sides and their reason for it. Noh-Varr proved a deadly fighter and the Warden an evil person which made this story compelling and challenging for the superheroes.
