Illuminae
by Jay Kristoff, Amie Kaufman
So, this wont be like my normal reviews. I have been thinking about how to word this review ever since I finished Illuminae, I loved the book but I havent been able to quite put it in to words like I normally do so I’m just gonna babble about my thoughts and how much I liked the book. I loved this book. I was a little hesitant about the format, I thought maybe it would distract me from the story or I wouldnt like it but no, I adored this format and this story. I found myself giggling and laughing through the whole book, except for a certain part that happens near the end – you guys know what you did! :/ I loved how none of the characters seemed to take things super seriously despite the fact that they were all in a life or death situation. The characters are lovable and endearing. This book is exceptional and dynamic. I can see now why people are hyped over this series, and this book definitely deserves the hype. I was completely engrossed in this book, I was obsessively reading this book hundreds of pages at at time because I just had to know what was going on and if our main characters were going to make it or not. This book is just fun to read in regards to the story and the format. I’m shipping Ezra and Kady hard and cant wait to see what happens in the rest of the trilogy. I feel like theres not much I can say in detail without ruining for others so this review will be short and sweet. This book is so different and amazing and I completely recommend it to everyone. I am now 100% trash for the Illuminae Files
