I enjoyed The Light We Lost, so I had hope for this one, but it fell a bit flat for me. The story follows a super rich hotel heiress who suddenly loses her father. After his death, secrets about the family start unraveling, meanwhile she’s struggling to take over the family business when her passion lies in speechwriting for a very attractive upcoming New York politician.

The writing isn’t anything super special and the story feels like a whole lot of rich people problems. I’d skip this one!
