While I didn't find it as good as Six of Crows, I was still thoroughly entertained, and appreciated the character development of the beloved found family. My heart breaks for each and every one of these children (YES - CHILDREN...sometimes it's hard to remember these are 16-18 y.o kids!!) and what they've had to endure through to the end of this story.
The plot dragged a bit in times, which is hard to believe considering the amount of games within games within games that Kaz is able to wend - almost a bit too convoluted and messy sometimes to keep straight. I know this is a fantasy world, but yes, even fantasy has to toe the line of believability.
Kudos to theJesper/Wylan arc - I'm so happy this book went this direction WITHOUT FUSS! I was so hoping for something because of the sparks in SoC...they were just so cute together, but that fact that there was no fanfare was amazing. It just WAS, and it was fabulous.

Kudos to the
And Kaz & Inej's arc:
Two of the deadliest people the Barrel had to offer and they could barely touch each other without both of them keeling over. But they’d tried. He’d tried. Maybe they could try again.”
Anyways - a fitting end, to an overall wonderful duology.
