I still love this book, even though I've only read it a few times. It's an amazing book, especially for the fact that it's so short, but it definitely chronicles the problems between gangs very well. (Almost in a West Side Story fashion.)
I could reread this book at any time, really, it's just that amazing. There are always new things to learn, if only the gang slang! The characters are strong; they grow from being something to becoming something even more amazing. The plot flows forward, and at times the reader wants to hold it back because you know something bad is about to happen, but you read on anyways. Even the writing style is amazing.
This is just a book that everyone ought to have read at least once, if not multiple times.
