I reallyy enjoyed this.
A thought I had about 30% in was what a great job the author does of really transporting me into the story. Each characters felt fully formed and I felt for each of them. I enjoyed the pacing also as the story progressed.
I find that I have a taste for plots that centre on the actual marriage of the couple and their lives within it.
This isn't 5 stars because as my updates alluded to, Mina was hurt a lot during the course of this story. So much! While the author did a fantastic job of stoking a passion in me for her defence, it did mean there wasn't a lot of levity so I can strictly say that I /enjoyed/, or had a lot of fun reading this story. I did enjoy that Simon was appropriately rebuked at the conclusion of the story. My biggest pet peeve is when a character has been acting like total trash the whole story and it's all resolved in like a paragraph with no seeming consequence.
That was not the case here and I was living for it.
All in all, thoroughly enjoyed this read.
