I did like this book. At this point, it felt comfortable being with the characters after 4 books and I’d compare it to watching a decent sitcom. I liked the characters, enjoyed watching their plot lines develop, but for me the Wax and Wayne series never really lived up to the heights of era one. It was an enjoyable small scale view of the Cosmere which typically operates on ridiculous scales of grandiosity, but I do feel like the larger than life nature of the Cosmere is it’s best aspect.
