This book really could have been a 5 star read for me, if I had read it at the right time. Johnny is a great character with a lot of depth! The emotional journey he goes on was amazing! However, the characters around him needed a bit more to be perfect! The big twist that his ex girlfriend had faked her death and had been cheating on him with Ryan stung, but could have been devastating had Ryan been there since the beginning and if we heard more about Jen. Johnny was so well crafted that the other characters missed out on a little something!
That being said, i loved this book and I’m only being hard on it because of my high standards for my favourite author! Sanderson’s writing is masterful and he still delivers a classic sanderlanche forcing me to go to bed past midnight to finish listening to this book and writing my review!
UPDATE: This book would be amazing as a video-game!
