The 2nd book ended up with Ena and Finn doing another run and saving 4 sorcis kids from a town a little farther than Ilbrea. The run they did was one of the most dangerous ones because they went there blind, not knowing where or who the kid/s are. Finding themselves trapped between the sorceress and the guilds, Ena takes the most dangerous decision ever – to run from Finn and the kids and making the sorceress and the guilds to follow her. The book ends up in such an amazing way that leaves you speechless – on her run away from the sorceress and the guilds the mountain opens up and accepts Ena inside, saving her from a horrible death by the guilds.

After being swallowed by the mountain at the end of the 2nd book, on the 3rd book Ena’s going through the mountain tunnel for 2 weeks until finally she’s being “allowed” by the mountain to get out and return to their camp – however, once she returns to the camp things aren’t better, she finds out that they need to leave for Lygan Hall way before the winter comes. Things are not going for the better, the guilds are becoming stronger, there’s a traitor who betrayed them and while Ena was gone, they also lost some people due to the monsters that were sent near their camp.

This books, I really have no words to express on how they made me feel. From happiness to horror to being afraid I’ve had them all. The whole story is told from Ena’s pov, how she feels, what she’s going through and keeps you guessing what’s happening next. Each book starting the 1st one is jam packed with action and so many amazing events.

The 3rd book has more dark tones than the previous one, from being attacked on their way to Lygan Hall to loosing Finn, the events can be pretty graphic and might be triggers such as death, blood, abuse – the book has different tones from page to page so there is no slow moment, nothing to make you bored but instead make you turn that page as fast as possible.

The book the way is worded makes you feel every single thing Ena’s feeling, her loss, her fear everything is so palpable that at some moments you wonder if this is actually real or an art of fiction? I don’t have words to express how much I love this serie. You see Ena growing from book to book developing as a female and character, a very important piece into this serie and the quotes you find around the book really touches your soul in unimaginable ways.
