Going into this book I was nervous that it wouldn't live up to the hype but it completely did. It tells the story of famous Hollywood actor Evelyn Hugo as she walks a journalist, Monique Grant, through her life of ambition, secrecy, love and heartbreak.

I loved Evelyn's relationships with people this book explores marriage and divorce incredibly well and dives into how important friends can be to you. I also loved how strong Evelyn is, she's probably my favourite female protagonist, even when she's at her weakest points she doesn't crumble. I like her coldness but how much of a heart she has when it comes to the people she cares about. She's not afraid to use people in power to get to the places she deserves to be. it's refreshing to see a female character who's selfish but likable, someone who wants things incredibly much just like real people. I also love the Bisexual rep too :)

Celia and Harry were also amazing I loved all their moments and dialogue I love how they are developed as much as Evelyn and not just side characters. I loved Evelyn and Harry's friendship the most because it shows how friends can be your soulmates too.

and of course I cried- a lot- there's so many plot twists and heartbreaking moments you're never bored when reading it. overall an amazing 5 star read with lovable characters who are realistic. I recommend it to everyone no matter what genere you like!

thank you for reading my review!
