Childhood fave from Francine Pascal. Gaia Moore is a teenage girl with all the angst and insecurity that comes with being a teenager, oh, and she’s genetically missing the “fear gene”.  The writing isn’t too complex, it’s an easy read and this is the first in a 36+ series that delves into the mystery of Gaia’s past, her family, and how she navigates being a teenager in late-90s New York. She’s not the most likeable, forcing herself to remain an outsider and keeping everyone at arms length as a self-preservation tactic. We are introduced to Gaia and her new friends and guardians in this first entry into the Fearless series.
