🎧 Ive really enjoyed this authors previous reads and this sounded right up my street. It had great potential as a psychological thriller and it does spark your interest and keep you guessing but only for a short while and then it gets to the point where there isn’t actually much going on. I enjoyed the start and finish somewhat but it really lacked substance. I had to put aside my feelings about the main character Darcy and concentrate on the storyline more so then the characters as I found Darcy to be so incredibly irritating. It took from the story somewhat as I found her over descriptive to the point of whinging. The author tries to build the storyline but it didn’t go like that. I did find the outcome a little convenient and just unbelievable.
