Crescendo by Rachel Haimowitz

5.0

First, I have to have a moan about the cover for this book...what were they thinking? Freyrick's face looks like a photograph of some bloke that hs been poorly photoshopped into the painting. WHY do m/m books have such crappy covers? It bugs me beacuse it does the book and the author a diservice. This is a fantastic book. I absolutely LOVED IT! The crappy cover will prevent some readers even considering reading it, which is such a shame. 'Crescendo' is a fantastic sequel to 'Counterpoint'. It continues the story of Prince Freyrik and his Elf slaver/lover Ayden. They have weathered far too many obstacles to find each other already, but they just keep coming. They find themselves between a rock and a hard place- being summoned to the high court by the Aegis (the king of all kings) Will Freyrick be punished for keeping Ayden secret? What punishments will Ayden have to endure to stay by the side of his lover/master. The story is a rollercoaster of emotions. super world building, great fantasy woven with a gorgrous romance, and some super sex scenes! It's very face paced, and never drags. This book has me crying, laughing, fearing for the lovers and hating the human's for their cruelty.
Another unputdownable book. Bravo Rachel Haimowitz bravo!
