Oh my big, sweet, sexy wolf shifter Seff. Protect this man with everything. All the beings who helped rescue Theo from the clutches of Marieth now all seem to be paired off with their loves, still dealing with the trauma but with a partner. Seff doesn't have that. What he has is a mysterious man Rafe that he's met in the woods a handful of times over that last 5 years. It's the single greatest thing in his life and it's more and more painful to leave Rafe each time. Seff's dad is pressuring him more and more about becoming the alpha of their pack and Seff knows that's not what he wants. He wants Rafe but that seems impossible. Until one night at the Black Stump Rafe is unbelievably standing right there. Rafe's magical walled off city of Tathys is about to be reunited with the regular world, and not everyone is happy. Honestly all Rafe really wants to to claim Seff as his forever. I love how emotional all the books in this series are. Seff is an alpha male coded character that is allowed to be vulnerable and have deep emotions, which I love. The pining between these two MCs is great. And they have great spicy scenes. I loved have the whole gang along again for the adventure, and we even get dragons this time. Highly recommend this and the whole series.
